Save your lives and the lives of other road users with these 10 road safety tips.

When you are in your vehicle, you want to know that you are as safe as you can be, and that you are doing everything you possibly to avoid getting into accidents.

Car accidents can happen in many ways. Mostly, car accidents happen sometimes due to careless driving or rash. There are also a lot of accidents that could actually be prevented, if people were just doing the things they are supposed to
1. Drive a safe vehicle

If you are thinking of getting your own car, look for one with high safety ratings. Avoid small cars, trucks or sport utility vehicles. Check out federal statistics and consumer report literature to help to evaluate the safety rating of a car or truck. T

2. Don’t drink and drive

You might put yourself at risk if you drink and drive. A significant number of road accidents have been attributed to driving under the influence of alcohol.

It’s a number one rule, DON’T drink and drive.

3.Limit your night driving

The risk of a fatal crash is three times higher at night than in the day for every mile driven. It’s better to avoid nighttime driving until you’re comfortable driving during the day.

4. Drive with both hands on the wheel

Two hands on the wheel allow you more control over the car if an emergency situation were to arise. Imagine having one hand leisurely resting on it when you have to swerve out of the way – you lose that precious split second in adjusting your position that could mean the difference between safety and an accident.

5.Keep your eyes scanning the area ahead

Don’t just eyeball the car in front of you but watch the traffic in front of that car as well. This increases your chance of seeing a problem while still having enough time to react to it, and decreases your chance of rear-ending the vehicle in front of you should they make a sudden stop.

6. Buzzed driving

The sobering reality of drunk driving is that it is obviously a dangerous behavior, yet too often drivers get behind the wheel with alcohol in their bloodstream, impairing judgment and slowing reaction time. If you out having a good time, designate a driver. Or simply don’t drink till you are home.

7. Use your signals properly

One of the effective tips on how to prevent car accidents is to use your signal properly. It is remembered to use signal even you think that nobody is there. Always use the signal at least a couple of second to ensure others know what you are going to do and account for your action they should do there on the issue. do not use afterthought or during the lane change when you change lanes on the freeway.

8. Keepit slow and safe for starters

Fast-moving, high volumes of traffic can make you feel uncomfortable, so avoid them until you can get enough supervised driving experience. Then you can gradually introduce more difficult driving situations, like highway driving, merging and driving in cities.

9. Followtrafficrules

One of the tips on how to prevent car accidents is to follow traffic rules. Traffic rules should have in your mind. It can ensure the safety for all including pedestrians. You need to follow the lane and keep the distance between vehicles that avoid car crash. Moreover, it is important to display indications and signal of your vehicle when you change turn or before a turn because the respect of other drivers is important for safety road.

10. Develop the right attitude about driving

Many teen auto accidents are a result of attitude and maturity, not skills or knowledge. Make a commitment to yourself to practice a responsible attitude about driving. You’re controlling over 3,000 pounds of fast-moving metal, and you owe it to yourself, your passengers and other drivers to drive responsibly.
