Avoid flashing your stuff

Whenever you are travelling always keep in mind to keep your expensive things safe.

Avoid flashing them, as it can attract the attention of pickpocketers.

Keep your expensive phones, cameras, laptops in a safe place and reduce any potential risks.

2. Avoid putting items in your back pocket

Your back pockets are the easiest targets, so important items, that you absolutely require during your journey, should not be kept there.

Keeping expensive and important items in back pockets can make it very easy for someone to steal your possessions.

3. Put the zips in front

While walking, always try to keep the zips of your handbag in the front and not behind you.

Do this especially when you are walking in a crowded area, as this will make it hard for a thief to steal items from your bag.

4. Use tight pockets

If you don’t have a bag to keep your possessions, always ensure to keep them in tight pockets and in front.

This will not allow a thief to sneak a hand in your pocket to steal something.

Also, having tight pockets prevents items for falling out.

5. Divide your money

When travelling, you should never carry all your money at the same time and in one place.

Instead, divide all your cash and credit cards into two or more stashes.

Keep minimum money in your wallet and the rest in a separate location, like in your hotel rooms safe or a secret stash in your bag.

6. Travel with a cut-proof bag

Whenever you are travelling always remember to carry a bag that is cut proof.

These types of bags are great for travelling in crowded places and will ensure your belongings are not stolen.

7. Carry a money bag

Instead of big backpacks, it’s better to carry a money bag with you.

A money bag is a small, zippered fabric pouch that fastens around your waist, under your pants or skirt.

8. Secure your bag

If in case you have to carry a big backpack then try to secure it with a lock.

Thieves want to quickly and unobtrusively separate you from your valuables, so even a minor obstacle can be an effective deterrent.

9. Always keep your phones off the table

Smartphones are popular items for pickpockets to target.

Many people simply leave their phone on the table while they’re eating or when sitting at a restaurant, which makes it easy for someone to come and snatch it up.

10. Use hidden pockets

Hidden pockets are theft-proof because they tuck into your pant leg easily and are also more comfortable.

So next time stay aware and use these tips for your benefit.
