Not feeling alright? It Is OK!

Feeling broken and lost? It is OK!

Betrayed, cheated, disrespected, taken for granted? It is OK

Feeling nothing is working for you? It is OK

Let me share a story with you….

On 12th June 2021, I attended a friend’s Mother in-law’s funeral at Asutsuare.

I met a young lady there who said she desperately needed to talk to me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make time for her that day but fortunately, I went back there for the thanksgiving service, on the Sunday 13th June 2021.

This lady approached me again and shared a ‘testimony’ that touched me so much that I forgot all my COVID 19 protocols and hugged her (God help me). 😢

I am not too sure though, if the hug was for me or for her!!

She is a single mother with 5 children and life has been really, really tough for her. She said sometime this year, she decided to end it all (yes she wanted to commit suicide 😳).

She called her eldest child and told her she was going to travel and would be gone for a long time. She gave her daughter instructions on what to do. All was set!!

She however, decided to check something on social media before putting off her phone and ‘embark on her journey’.

Lo and behold, a message from me popped up and I was talking about ‘Not giving up’. She said I even gave out my number, asking ‘that person who is thinking about and planning to end it all’ to call me immediately!!

Hmmm, God is something else you know!! Smh!!

She said that message just “snapped” her out of her suicidal agenda.

She said she never called the number because she was “OK” with the message she read from me. It restored her hope!

Her advice to me was “Oheneyere, never take your posts, write ups and videos for granted. They are not ordinary!! Every single post, no matter what it is about, is speaking to someone, it is ‘rescuing’ someone! You have no idea the lives you are touching”. 😢

Now, that was a bit too much for me you know, because I also don’t feel ‘OK’ sometimes. Sometimes, I also feel like giving up, but I don’t because of ‘testimonies’ like this.

Her advice was a ‘rescue testimony’ for me too.

This lady told me she is so grateful she didn’t end her life because she is doing OK now and she knows things will get better with time.

So my dear, you see, it is OK not to be OK!!

But don’t give up!! Live!!!

You need to understand that YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR PROBLEMS!!! Don’t let your current situation define who you truly are!!

You are worth more than this and you can still achieve your dreams. Just hold on. Don’t give up.

Don’t wait for everything to be OK before you are happy!!!

It is OK my dear, because you know what? YOU WILL BE OK.

God has got you!! He’s not finished with you yet!!

Hold on. It will be Ok because with God, it always gets OK!! Hold on!!

YOU WILL BE OK.

Much love
