It is curious that God would commission Joshua for his ministry with such a blunt statement: Moses My servant is dead! God’s statement is an admission of the reality of the situation.
A lot of times when we face challenges we are tempted to water it down and pretend all is well. Some of us even live in a state of denial for a long time.
God did not use “nice language” to describe the situation Joshua found himself. He was very blunt about the reality. But He went a step further and assured Joshua of His presence with him.
It is ok to cry when faced with a challenge. It is ok to see the situation as it is. In all situations the Presence of God will be with you. Just as He held the hand of Joshua to complete the Journey to the Promised Land, so will He be with you till the end.
Don’t give up. Trust Him. It is well. Stay blessed.
