Who is a mentor?

“A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.” — Bob Proctor.“

Who is a mentee?
A mentee is someone who is not experienced, a learner. A person who is been mentored. A mentee should be ready for a purposeful journey and ask for help (directions) from experience traveller.
“If you cannot see where you are going, ask someone who has been there before.”

– J Loren Norris

People who know the benefits that comes with mentorship are willing to give it ALL it takes to get good mentors.

Finding good Mentors can be very hard. Good mentors cannot be found everywhere. They’re not readily available or accessible. Finding a good mentor is like finding raw-gold or crude oil. You need to search purposefully or engage experts to help you find them. The price is definitely high for the search but it’s nothing compared to the reward thereafter. Though some people have had the opportunity to meeting great mentors at one point in time but didn’t pay attention nor take advantage of the life time opportunity. You should never miss the opportunity of making your interest known to people you would like to have as your mentors if they come your way.

Benefits of Mentorship:
1. A good mentor can expose mentee to a new culture and world that will bring about positive change.
2. A good mentor can be a good motivation to mentee.
3. A humble mentee can learn what to do and how to do something right from a good mentor.
4. A generous mentor can teach a good mentee where to invest money or where to find money.
5. Mentee have the opportunity to invest through a good mentor.
6. A good mentee has opportunity to access resources.
7. Having a good mentor will enable mentee to have access to great people, networks, exposure and gain relevant experience.

Fear and procrastination are some of the main problems people face daily. Having a good mentor can solve the problems.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Our chief want in life is somebody who will make us do what we can.”
